A Day in Maine for NMEA Kids!!!Join Rippleffect for a learning adventure on our living classroom, Cow Isle. The day starts with a team building sailing adventure on Portland Schooners 100 foot historic Maine built schooner. As we sail to Cow Island we will learn about the history of Casco Bay and learn why Maine is world renown for it nautical impact. When we arrive on Cow Isle we will have a tour of the Rippleffect facilities that are built within Fort Lyons a 1907 military gun emplacement. We then spend the rest of our time rotating between learning coastal kayaking techniques with a kayak tour and a challenge course experience that includes a ride down our 400ft Zipline. Schedule for the Day:8:00 am Meet at the Maine State Pier.8:30 am Depart on Portland Schooner and sail (if there is wind) to Cow Isle.
10:00 am Arrive at Cow Island and have a quick island tour.
10:30 am Start of first group rotation. Each group has 10 to 12 kids
and rotates between kayaking and Zipline team building activities.
12:30 pm Lunch
1:00 pm second group rotation
3:00 pm End of rotations
3:30 pm shuttle to Long Island.
The cost for this program is $65.00 dollars a day per participant with a minimum of 20 kids and a maximum of 35 kids.
